TISA accomplishes its mission and objectives through its "3 Pillars of Service" :
- Networking
- Education
- Business Development

By networking through regular TISA Networking Events (TISANE), business relationships and contacts are established. TISA also hosts incoming delegations, and participates in trade shows and conferences. From these events, contacts, referrals, contract leads and JV project opportunities are identified and pursued by the members.

TISA also hosts networking events with fellow professional service providers, manufacturers, bi-lateral global and regional partners.

TISA works closely with its Federal and Provincial Government partners and their international networks. They assist our members to identify opportunities and advise with follow-up as appropriate. Our government partners can act as a catalyst/facilitator to assist TISA members with project execution as appropriate. However, the members of TISA are expected to lead and drive the identified projects and the agenda themselves.

I) TISA's Networking Events (TISANE) format includes speakers and information sharing sessions. We generally meet on the third Thursday each month, for 3-4 hours - either at a formal networking event, or a more informal "pub night" environment. .

Often TISANE will piggyback on existing events and host the TISANE in conjunction with a major trade show, as has been done during ConstructCanada, the Environmental Post Globe or a COEF (Canada-Ontario Export Forum) Information Fair for example. This has proven to be an effective format.

II) TISA Education Events consist of seminars/workshops given by local experts and international speakers to inform members on strategic issues and global opportunities. We often work with partners such as Centennial College.

III) TISA Develops Business by hosting incoming business delegations and domestic trade events as requested by business or government partners, to facilitate Canadian global business.

TISA business meetings occur with members who have active projects or projects in the development stage, who require complementary TISA partner expertise, including formation of JVs.

TISA activitely promotes match-making activities/events with its Canadian and global partners.
