Brief Biography of the Ambassador:

Mr. Ariel Delouya joined DFAIT in 1986. He served abroad in Ankara and Washington. In Ottawa, Mr. Delouya was Deputy Director of the International Economic Relations and Summits Division, where he was responsible for G8 summits. 

Mr. Delouya was seconded to the Foreign and Defence Policy Secretariat of the Privy Council Office from 1998 to 2000 and then became Chief of Staff to the Clerk of the Privy Council from 2000 to 2002. Before becoming the Ambassador of Canada in Tunis, he was Director of the Policy Research Division at Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.
